So it came a full circle 🔁:

From joining my very first BOH CTF in 2020 as a foundation student →

To joining FSEC-SS as Secretary in 2021 during foundation as well →

To organizing an online BOH 2021 in Degree Year 1 →

Then organizing a hybrid BOH 2022 in Year 2 →

Then scaling it up to ASEAN BOH 2023 in Year 3 →

And now, ending it with 3rd place in the International BOH 2024 in Year 3 too 🔥

It’s been a wild ride, but this journey has taught me A LOT, and it definitely WAS NOT EASY AT ALL, especially when you have to balance other clubs' commitments, academics, and self-studies 😂

I’m incredibly grateful to my GOAT teammates, MOHAMED KHAIRY MOHAMED ABDELRAOUF and Howard Chau, for helping me complete the cycle of BOHs. I remember I was focusing on forensics and misc challenges only throughout the entire day, while my team carried the rest HAHA so huge kudos to them (for also agreeing with me to FAFO for the CTF in the first place 😂)

A big shoutout to the Forensic & Security Research Center Student Section APU team as well. I gotta say, joining the CTF as a competitor this time was definitely more fun than organising it HAHAH

BTW, I met the legend, the myth — Mel AKA Spoonfork🍴

PS: I might write a small blog about how FSEC-SS went from a team of 9 (me being the only non-technical member) into a fully automated powerhouse for anyone looking to lead their own uni cybersecurity team and host CTFs like this, plus other cybersec club stuff 🎉(Because more unis should be hosting CTFs like this too 👀)
