During the first day of CYDES 2023 held at MITEC, our team RootPwners consisting of me, Fatah IIX, YIT ENG LEE, and Nik Amir Hakim secured 4th place in the Cyber Warzone CTF! It was a 12 hours non-stop grind, and I really enjoyed solving the challenges together with the team. Although we were just one mv command away to victory, but GG guys, we will get the next one for sure 😤 !

Throughout the CTF, I was focusing a lot on the forensics and misc challenges, but being this close to victory, I've never been more motivated to start working on the categories I have been avoiding all this time, which are pwn, crypto and RE. I've definitely gotta polish my web skills as well 💪🏻

Lastly, I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to the amazing organizers, National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), Sapura Secured Technologies, Velum Labs, RE:HACK and the exceptional technical team Wargames.my. Thanks to all of them, our CTF experience was a fun and joyful one, and I've personally learnt a lot from it as well.
